Elastic-free Hemp Meditation PantsOur popular RG684-10OZ Luca Heavy-duty 100% Hemp Meditation Pants for meditation, yoga, and casual wear.
Based on customer feedback, we have made improvements over the original classic version of hemp meditation pants which were introduced in 1997. The new version of hemp meditation pants is made in-house at our European Atelier from a thicker, stronger 10oz / sq yard 100% organic hemp fabric. The fabric is the same weight as our popular hemp yoga pants — the difference is that the hemp meditation pants are not as baggy or loose as our hemp yoga pants. Breathable and cozy.
No side pockets. One back pocket (right side). Elastic-free drawstrings. Natural, Ivory, Black.
The extra-long version is seamed with extra 4-5" in the hem to be let out as needed and rehemmed.
The Luca Hemp Meditation Pants feature biodegradable fiber-reactive dyes. Absolutely no heavy metals were used in the manufacturing process.
The Luca Hemp Meditation Pants are made in-house at the Rawganique Atelier in Europe. Sweatshop-free.
The Elastic-free Cannabis Sativa Hemp Meditation Pants are great for yoga practice too, thanks to the comfort of their elastic-free waistband, which you can adjust to the width that works for you.
Also suitable for other gentle ancient arts that require comfort and ease of unrestricted movement.
In Thailand, the Hemp Yoga Meditation Pants and the Mindful Hemp Shirt
together form the outfit of laypersons who go to monastery retreats to
practice mindful meditation for weeks at a time. Nuns also wear this
white outfit, which signifies purity, serenity, peace, and mindfulness.
Routine is perhaps the most important part of mindfulness practice, as
long-time practitioners know. We find that when we meditate in the same
space, at the same hour, and with the same outfit, we get into the a
serene state of mind faster and more naturally. The combination of the
RG539 Mindful Hemp Shirt and RG684 Hemp Yoga Meditation Pants puts us in
the right state of mind each and every time.
Elastic-free, one right back pocket, no side pockets, standard rise (pants sit just below the waist), regular inseam only.
Eco tidbits: Simplicity and Fairness: Simple living is less violent and
less exploitative. When we live in complexity, our needs are so great in
terms of energy and material goods that we live at the expense of
others. As we simplify our homes, our clothes, and our eating habits,
not only is less work needed to supply us but also less effort to
maintain our way of life, as well.
As the people of the world who are now exploited begin to get a fair
return for their labor, prices will rise. We must expect this and be
willing to pay the costs, otherwise we are hypocrites of the first
water, wanting the world's people to be well off yet still insisting
that our bananas be cheap. When the people picking the bananas in
Honduras, tapping the rubber trees in Malaysia, mining tin in Bolivia,
and making shoes in Brazil get the same return for their labor that we
do, our bananas and boots and tires and tin (and fair trade
clothing--ed.) will cost more. -- from A Handmade Life by WM.S.
